Yesterday was a whirlwind of places to be!
I was supposed to have gone down to pay for the Tioman trip last week, but one thing led to another, and in a nut shell, I couldn't go down... So, I called them, and asked them to hold my bookings till Yesterday... I woke at 8+am so that I can go down to Orchard and finish paying and everything by 11...
I planned on leaving the house at 10, but because of something or another, went out late... Reached orchard at around 10.20am... I had taken a picture of the map from street directory, cuz I've no idea where Orchard Towers is, but still, no use... Looked and looked and walked and walked, according to the sales person from the Travel agency, a 10 minutes walk became 30 minutes walk... Finally found the bloody building... Walked in, supposed to go to the 6th floor, so I went up the escalator.... Until I realised that the highest level is the 5th. =, =
Went back to the 1st level where there are more people to ask... Turns out I have to take the lift... After that, went up and searched through the rat burrow and finally found the office... Went in, prepared to pay with NETS, they dropped the bombshell, NETS not accepted... WTF?! Nvm... Asked for OCBC atm, they told me don't have, but got HSBC, so, still can... They told me it's behind the building, I didn't know there's a back exit, so I went one whole big round to the back... And TADAH, OCBC atm right beside the HSBC one... Wth? They don't even know it exists... Nvm... Drew the money, and went back up... Paid, and when I left the place, it's like 11.50am already... I was supposed to meet my Mikoishi ex-colleagues at 12... At The Cathay because I told them I'd go early to queue at Aston...
So, I cabbed down to The Cathay... And luckily, the lunch crowd wasn't in yet, so I managed to get a seat immediatly... I smsed Jasmin and Jianwei to let them know that I've found seats already... And we chatted and shared and joked... I ordered Chargrilled Chicken... Same as what I ordered on my first visit... I wanted Grilled Fish, but then, the last time I did, the bottom was all chaota-ed... Anyway, had a free lunch, cuz Jasmin treated.. Haha~ THANKS!
After lunch, as is the Custom of all Old School office workers, we walked around till the bus arrives to take them back... So, we parted ways at 2pm... I have to print Meryl's birthday card, so I walked towards Sunshine Plaza to print it... Ended up with me printing it at Peace Centre... While waiting for it to be printed and trimmed, I looked around and bought a Hairband that cost me $2... After that, walked back to DG... Put on the hairband at the toilet there, then went to take the train to Novena to meet Shou and Meryl...
Shou arrived like uber early, and I arrive just nice at 2pm... Meryl was late, I think, by mere minutes, and it is her belated birthday outing afterall, so WHACK ARH! Anyway, we went walking around at velocity... Walking around, at like the second level, just passed Bosini, I thought my jaw felt weird... At the molars there... I thought, toothache sia! Then I asked Meryl, toothache got all of a sudden one arh, not build up one meh? And it's very painful sia... I got less talkative as we walked around...
Then, when we finished exploring Velocity, we went to Square2, and at the first level, just beside the customer service, there's this shop that sell loads of accessories, and when we went in, Meryl mentioned that she can't wear hair bands because she thinks her head's too big... I wondered if my own hairband is small... I took off the new hairband, and INSTANTLY, NO MORE TOOTHACHE! WTF?! I came to a conclusion... The hairband was too tight just at the back of the ears, and it ka-chiaoed my nerves? Either way, it's back to the talkative me! Lol~
There's a LITTLE SEOUL at Square2... The entire lvl 3 is dedicated to Korean stuff! Like, OMG! Woohoo~! Lol... Wanted to try the spicy rice cake that always show up in those korean dramas, but, end up didn't, cuz I had asked about the $3 kimchi, and there was a muddle there, and the auntie was staring as us... Anyway, we went up to the food court, and Meryl introduced to us, Hungry Jack! Lol... We ate that, and played Truth and Truth, Never or Never not, and dunno what else... Lol... After that, we went to the sushi place beside it, and ate sushi! Wohoo~ Lol... After that, it's back to walking around and pcture taking~! Lol... We went to United Square, and played around in Toys r Us, and then looked around, but everything was closing already, so we took more pictures... Lol~!
All in all, a busy day that started badly but ended well... Haha~
